Pathfinders STEM Hub is a dynamic center dedicated to inspiring and empowering under-resourced children in STEM education, particularly in Bamenda, Cameroon—a region significantly impacted by the ongoing Anglophone crisis. The conflict has led to frequent school disruptions, with many traditional schools closing due to safety concerns, and numerous children forced out of the classroom. In this challenging context, Pathfinders STEM Hub seeks to democratize and demystify STEM education, making it accessible and engaging for children whose education has been interrupted. The hub offers a safe and stimulating alternative through a community STEM library, a Makerspace for hands-on projects, and a Mind Sports platform, providing opportunities for practical learning and critical thinking. By equipping children with STEM skills, Pathfinders STEM Hub not only addresses the immediate educational needs of crisis-affected communities but also prepares the next generation for future challenges, empowering them with knowledge and skills to build more resilient and innovative communities.
