Connecting the sun to power homes with clean, renewable, abundant and cheap solar energy. As reported by @businessincameroon "As of the end of June 2021, 9,000 communities out of 13,104 still had no access to electricity. The data was presented by Minister of Water and Energy (MINEE) Gaston Eloundou Essomba on June 28, 2021, during a special presentation before the national assembly"As of 2025, the situation is seemingly the same and hence there is the huge potential for solar adoption and deployment especially in local communities. For this to be effective, there is the need of trained solar PV installers. That is exactly the gap we at Sustainable Actions Afrika are out to fill. The Earth receives approximately 173,000 terawatts of solar energy continuously, which is over 10,000 times the total global energy consumption. Just one hour of sunlight can provide enough energy to power the entire world for a year.Solar panel costs have plummeted by 85% since 2010, falling from $2.50 per watt to around $0.27 per watt in 2025. This makes solar the cheapest form of electricity in history and has transformed it from a niche technology into a mainstream energy solution.Solar energy travels ~ 150 million km from the sun to Earth in just 8 minutes and 20 seconds. This means the sunlight powering your solar panels left the sun’s surface less than 10 minutes ago, making solar energy remarkably fresh compared to fossil fuels that took millions of years to form.Source: solartechonline.com/blog/solar-energy-interesting-facts/At Sustainable Actions Afrika we are training young people in Solar PV and CCTV Camera Installation and Maintenance. If you are based in upcoming Solar PV and CCTV Camera training, then subscribe at whatsapp.com/channel/0029VbBWjoYAu3aY2J4Yfg2r#sustainableactionsafrika #TVETForAll #TVETColleges #TVET #solarpanels #solarenergy #solar #CCTVCamera #CCTVFootage ...
